My story

I've had an interest in programming from a very young age, and I've learnt a little bit of this and that by myself. Although I ended up choosing to pursue a scientific career, by the time I finished my PhD in Chemistry, I had come to the conclussion that scientific research was just not for me. That's when I decided to become a professional developer.

During 2020, while studying the appropiate subjects for obtaining my qualification, I also delved deeper into the Java language, and in a few months acquired the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer Certification.

Soon after, even though I hadn't finished my studies yet, I ventured to dive into the professional world and sent my résumé to Emergya. They offered me an internship, which after three months evolved into a full-time job as Assistant Developer. Four months later, I was promoted to Junior Developer.

I love my job at Emergya, where I'm part of a wonderful team (made up of wonderful people) who develop and maintain a virtual assistant for one of the top insurance companies in Spain.
